Sage is a small evergreen shrubby perennial. The oil is steam distilled from the dried leaves.

ESSENCE: Wisdom, authority, maturity, strength of character. A warming oil.

EFFECTS: Clears the physical world and allows us to see beyond our immediate surroundings. Gives us the strength to overcome both physical and mental challenges.

THERAPY: Generally used in treating rheumatism and arthritis, Sage also has expectorant and mucolytic properties. It is a good oil to use during cold & flu season. A few drops in a warm bath will promote circulation.

PRECAUTIONS: Sage oil should be used with caution. Never use sage oil on children or the elderly. Do not use during pregnancy.
