This luscious unrefined butter is renowned for its skin softening, moisturizing and protective properties.  It is a semi-solid at room temperature but melts easily in the hand. Mango butter is also known to protect the skin from UV radation, making it a good ingredient to add to sunscreen preparations. It has an SPF of 3-5.

Properties:  slight aroma, natural emolient, wound healing and regenerative, absorbs easily into the skin

Contains: Oleic, Stearic, Palmitic and Linoleic essential fatty acids

Texture: moderate to heavy

Shelf Life: approximately 2 years

Applications: use as-is by melting a small amount in your hand and massaging over the skin, or melt it over the stove top and add to your favorite vegetable oil to create your own moisturizing blend.  This is an excellent butter to add to our Macadamia Nut Oil or Avocado Oil for a natural sunscreen.
