Our Certified Organic Avocado Oil is unrefined (virgin) and is cold-pressed from the flesh of the nearly ripe fruit. It's a shame you can't perceive scent and texture over the internet, but at least color comes across. Click on the picture to see the incredible color of this marvellously rich, top-quality oil.  Avocado is primarily comprised of mono-unsaturated fat. It is rich in vitamins D and E, beta carotene, lecithin and potassium. Our Avocado Oil has a heavy texture and smells like... well, it smells like an avocado. The oil is excellent for dry and mature skin and is especially helpful with diaper rash. Climate damaged skin will also benefit from this oil. The shelf life is approximately 10 months to 1 year.

APPLICATIONS: For dry skin use Avocado oil straight.  Massage well into the skin as the oil does not absorb easily. To calm inflamed or irritated skin, blend Avocado with Calendula.  For sun burns or heat rash, blend 50% Avocado and 50% Aloe vera juice. Gently massage over the affected area. For diaper rash blend 50% Avocado and 50% Jojoba oil.  For earache, blend Avocado with 2 drops each Lavender and Roman Chamomile.

AS A SUNSCREEN: Avocado oil has strong UV absorption properties and an extremely high content of Vitamin E that fights against free radicals.  When absorbed into the skin it feeds us with vital nutrients, vitamins and essential fatty acids.  Apply the oil liberally and allow to absorb for 10 - 15 minutes.  Re-apply every 30 to 45 minutes for maximum protection.
